What’s On in Harrogate, Knaresborough, Masham, Pateley Bridge and Ripon This Easter Weekend (3rd–5th April 2026)

Families and visitors are in for a packed Easter Bank Holiday across the Harrogate district, with everything from Easter egg hunts and outdoor adventures to live shows, markets and gaming festivals taking place from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th April.

Whether you’re planning a family day out, a relaxed lunch or a spring walk, here’s what’s happening this weekend.

🐣 Easter Events and Family Days Out

Easter takes centre stage across the district with a wide choice of activities for all ages.

At Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Water Garden, families can enjoy a popular Easter egg hunt set among historic ruins and landscaped gardens.

Over at Newby Hall & Gardens, the Easter Bunny Woodland Adventure (running 3rd–6th April) offers a magical trail experience with interactive storytelling and themed fun.

In Harrogate, Rudding Holiday Park hosts an Easter Adventure Trail on Sunday, while Bewerley Park Outdoor Centre delivers outdoor action with family-friendly exploration and paddle activities.

Meanwhile, Knaresborough Castle provides a scenic backdrop for seasonal Easter-themed activities by the riverside.

There’s plenty happening indoors too, with a strong line-up of performances and events.

At Harrogate Theatre, The Grand Babylon Hotel takes to the stage across the weekend, while younger audiences can enjoy So Unfair at Harrogate Studio Theatre on Saturday.

Retro fans can head to Masham Town Hall for Made in the 80s on Friday night.

Gaming enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Odyssey Video Games & Toys Festival at The Crown Hotel on Saturday, bringing together retro classics, modern gaming and collectibles under one roof.

Harrogate International Youth Festival (HIYF), which brings a wide range of music and performance to the town and surrounding areas for its 53rd year.
