Magical Santa’s Grotto Experience for Christmas

Weetons Harrogate Launches Magical Santa’s Grotto Experience for Christmas 2026

Looking for something magical to do with the children in Harrogate this Christmas? Weetons is bringing festive excitement to Leeds Road with a brand-new Santa’s Grotto experience, where children can decorate Christmas cookies, meet Father Christmas and adopt their very own teddy bear.

Christmas in Harrogate is about to become even more magical for local families.

Weetons of Harrogate has unveiled The Weetons Christmas Journey to Santa’s Grotto, a new festive experience designed to create special memories for children, parents and grandparents.

Forget simply queuing to meet Santa. This Christmas adventure takes little visitors on a journey filled with friendly elves, delicious treats, storytelling and a cuddly Christmas companion to take home.

And there’s a lovely surprise waiting at the end – every participating child gets to adopt their very own Christmas bear.

What Can Children Expect at Weetons Santa’s Grotto?

From the moment families arrive, the Christmas magic begins.

Here’s what little visitors can look forward to:

• Elf Check-In: Meet Santa’s helpers and begin the festive adventure.

• Mrs Claus’ Christmas Table: Decorate a Christmas cookie and enjoy a mini hot chocolate.

• Choose a Christmas Bear: Pick a special cuddly companion to adopt and take home.

• Meet Father Christmas: Step inside Santa’s Grotto for a magical meeting and festive story.

• Bear Adoption Certificate: Receive a personalised certificate.

• Family Christmas Photograph: Capture a festive memory to treasure.

It’s an experience designed to give children more than a fleeting meeting with Santa, with activities and keepsakes to remember long after Christmas Day.

A Christmas Bear to Take Home and Treasure

One of the most charming parts of the Weetons Christmas Journey is the chance for every child to choose their own Christmas teddy bear.

Rather than simply receiving a present, children become part of the experience by selecting their new companion and officially adopting it during their visit to Father Christmas.

Each bear comes with a personalised adoption certificate, giving children something special to show family and friends.

For parents and grandparents, it’s a lovely opportunity to share a Christmas tradition and create memories together.

Why Weetons Wants to Make Christmas Extra Special

Rebecca Germaine, Food Services Manager at Weetons, said the team wanted to create something more memorable than a traditional visit to Santa.

“We wanted to create something that goes beyond the traditional visit to Santa,” she explained.

“Christmas is all about those little moments of magic that children remember, and we’ve put so much thought into making every part of the journey feel special.”

She added that the experience is designed for families to enjoy together, with children taking home something meaningful to treasure beyond the festive season.
