Harrogate assault: Police appeal after man attacked inside Burns Way home

Police have launched an appeal for information following an assault at a property in Harrogate.

Officers from North Yorkshire Police say the incident happened at around 3pm on 1 April at a home on Burns Way, Harrogate.

The victim was reportedly verbally abused before being grabbed by the arm, causing injury. The suspect also made threats during the incident, prompting a police investigation.

The man being sought is described as white, in his late 50s, approximately 5ft 6in tall, with short grey hair and a proportionate build. He was wearing a high-visibility yellow jacket at the time.

North Yorkshire Police are urging anyone who was in the Burns Way area of Harrogate on the afternoon of 1 April to come forward if they saw or heard anything suspicious.

A spokesperson said:
“We are asking members of the public if they saw or heard anything at this location on the date and time.

“If anyone has any information about this incident, please contact North Yorkshire Police and quote reference number 12260057898.”
