Drivers in Harrogate, Knaresborough, and Ripon face several disruptions from ongoing utility projects and regional roadworks. Key routes including the A61 Ripon Road, Knaresborough’s Bond End, and the A59 Kex Gill are experiencing temporary traffic lights and closures.
Harrogate
- A61 Ripon Road: Expect delays due to ongoing utility works and temporary traffic lights.
- Jenny Field Drive: Multi-way traffic signals are causing congestion.
- Empress Roundabout / Knaresborough Road: Lingering utility and cabling works are resulting in intermittent temporary traffic lights.
- Town Centre: Various rolling works by Northern Powergrid and council highway maintenance are affecting local junctions.
Knaresborough & Surrounding
- Bond End: Ongoing utility works continue to operate under four-way temporary traffic lights, creating a major congestion bottleneck.
- Staveley/Minskip Road (near Knaresborough): Closed until June 12 for emergency culvert repairs. A fully signed diversion is in place via the A59 and A6055.
