Roadworks in Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pateley Bridge & Ripon – Week Commencing 28 September 2026

Harrogate — Swan Road remains closed for Yorkshire Water water-main renewal works. The closure, originally expected to finish earlier in September, has been extended following unforeseen difficulties and is currently scheduled to remain in place until 23 October 2026. Harrogate Live

Harrogate — Knox Close is scheduled to remain closed until Friday 2 October, meaning the closure continues through most of this week. Harrogate Guide

Harrogate — Rossett Green Lane has a temporary closure order for sewer-connection works running up to 28 September. Drivers should therefore be aware of works on Monday, although the road may reopen thereafter if the work finishes as scheduled. Public Notice Portal

Knaresborough area — Canby Lane, Spofforth remains closed for Northern Gas Networks works until Thursday 1 October, affecting journeys between Knaresborough and surrounding villages. Harrogate Guide

Knaresborough — Public Footpath 15.73/12/3 is temporarily closed for bridge repairs until 11 October. This is a pedestrian route rather than a highway road closure, but is relevant for local walking journeys. North Yorkshire Council

Pateley Bridge — Wath Lane is subject to a temporary road closure for utility works. The published works period runs from 7 September to 16 October 2026, so the closure falls throughout the week commencing 28 September.
