Love to be… returns to Harrogate

Love to be… returns to Harrogate with huge line-up and 6,000-capacity festival

If you’re wondering why The Stray is about to look very different, one of Harrogate’s biggest music events is returning this weekend — and thousands of dance fans are expected to join the party.

Love to be… Festival returns on Saturday, 5 September 2026, bringing a huge day of house music to the heart of Harrogate.

Now in its third year on The Stray, the festival promises its biggest Harrogate production yet, with a 6,000-capacity site, three stages and a line-up packed with internationally known DJs and performers.

🎧 Some huge names are coming to Harrogate

House music fans have plenty to look forward to.

The 2026 line-up includes Claptone, Sam Divine, Paul Woolford, Todd Terry, Mousse T., Gok Wan, Julie McKnight (Live), K-Klass (Live), Trimtone, Cash Only and Grant Nelson, with more artists joining the bill.

Whether you remember the classic clubbing era or have discovered house music more recently, there’s plenty here to get you dancing.

🎪 The Stray is being transformed

For one day, one of Harrogate’s most recognisable green spaces will become a huge open-air dance music venue.

Festival-goers can expect multiple covered stages and arenas, full-scale festival production, live performers, dancers and entertainment throughout the event.

And with space for around 6,000 people, expect Harrogate to be noticeably busier as visitors arrive for the festival.

🕺 More than 30 years of Love to be…

Love to be… isn’t a newcomer to the house music scene.

The brand was founded in Sheffield in 1994 and has developed an international following during more than three decades of events.

Its Harrogate festival began in 2024, with house legend Roger Sanchez and Bez among the attractions.

The following year saw Armand Van Helden headline on The Stray.

Now Love to be… is returning for year three — and organisers say this will be their biggest Harrogate festival build yet.
