Harrogate’s Spa Sweethearts WI Celebrates 15 Years of Friendship, Fun and Community Spirit

Harrogate’s Spa Sweethearts Women’s Institute celebrated its 15th anniversary in style with an evening of Cuban salsa dancing, laughter, friendship and birthday festivities.

On Thursday, 8 October 2026, members past and present gathered at the Friends Meeting House in Harrogate to celebrate 15 years of bringing local women together through friendship, shared interests and community activities.

A Birthday Celebration Full of Colour and Dancing

The anniversary party embraced the group’s distinctive heart logo, with members dressing in shades of red and pink to mark the special occasion.

Entertainment came courtesy of dance group Rueda Rosa Blanca, who treated guests to a lively demonstration of Cuban salsa dancing before inviting the Spa Sweethearts to try the moves themselves.

The energetic session proved a wonderful way to get everyone into the party spirit, filling the evening with music, laughter and enthusiastic dancing.

Sweet Treats, Mocktails and Generous Local Support

The red and pink theme continued throughout the celebrations, with colourful mocktails and a delicious homemade Red Velvet birthday cake adding to the festivities.

A bumper birthday raffle provided another highlight, featuring prizes generously donated by local businesses, including Snooty Frox, Betty’s and Rudding Park Hotel and Spa.

As the evening drew to a close, every guest received a heart-themed party bag, which included a bespoke key ring specially created by one of the group’s talented members.
