Crochet Camp Set to Bring a Celebration of Creativity and Community to Harrogate

Crochet lovers, makers and independent businesses are coming together near Harrogate this September for a new event celebrating creativity, craftsmanship and community.

Crochet Camp Yorkshire will take place from Friday 4 to Monday 7 September 2026 at The Cud Life campsite in Killinghall, just outside Harrogate.

The first-of-its-kind event aims to bring crochet enthusiasts of all abilities together while putting Harrogate and North Yorkshire’s independent businesses and creative talent firmly in the spotlight.

More Than Just Crochet

Crochet has enjoyed a major revival, attracting people of all ages who want to learn traditional skills, create something by hand and meet others who share their interests.

Crochet Camp Yorkshire builds on that enthusiasm with a weekend combining specialist workshops, social activities, camping, food and independent pop-up businesses.

Lucy Hart of Crochet Camp Yorkshire said:

“What makes the event particularly special is its strong local focus. Rather than being simply a craft event, Crochet Camp has been created to support and showcase independent businesses across Harrogate and York.

“We’re hoping to create something that is as much about people and community as it is about crochet — bringing strangers together, giving people a chance to learn something new and celebrating the brilliant independent businesses and creative talent we have locally.”

What’s Happening at Crochet Camp Yorkshire?

Visitors can expect three specialist crochet workshops, together with opportunities to meet other crocheters, discover new techniques and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a creative camping weekend.

The programme also includes local independent pop-up businesses and on-site catering, including a special cream tea.

Tickets are available for the full three-night camping experience, three-day non-camping admission and individual day visits, making the event accessible to people who don’t want to camp.
