Wanted man could be in Harrogate district, say police

Police are searching for a wanted man who could be in the Harrogate district.

George Casson, 30, is wanted on recall to prison after breaching his licence conditions.

North Yorkshire Police said Casson failed to attend appointments with the probation service, and extensive inquiries have been carried out to locate him.

It is believed that the 30-year-old could be in the Harrogate district, but he also has links to Lancashire and Weston-Super-Mare in Avon and Somerset.

A police statement said:

Casson is described as white, 5ft 4in tall, small build, with cropped brown hair and blue eyes. He has previously had a short brown beard or stubble, but he may be clean shaven.

If you have any information as to his current whereabouts, please call North Yorkshire Police on 101.

Immediate sightings of Casson should be reported by dialling 999.
